How Ruffy started
Ruffy was founded by two brothers: Rafi Skapinker, who spent his career building technology companies, and Josh Skapinker, DVM, a practicing Ontario veterinarian.
We started inside veterinary medicine, not around it, working with vets every day and delivering thousands of prescriptions to pet parents across hundreds of Canadian communities. That’s where we saw the pattern up close: prescriptions don’t fail at the vet visit. They fail after it. Refills lapse, big totals get postponed, and pets quietly come off the medications their vets prescribed.
So we built the missing piece: the delivery, reminder, and refill operation that keeps pets on their meds. Run by us, under the vet’s direction, with dispensing by a licensed pharmacy. Today Ruffy delivers across Canada, and any clinic can offer it to their clients.
